Patient-specific 3D-printed devices

A clinical program for patient-specific 3D-printed radiotherapy accessories: electron cutouts, non-toxic tungsten-filled photon blocks, bronze-PLA lung shields for total body irradiation, and generalized shielding for total skin electron therapy.

I was a collaborator on this work rather than its lead. I contributed to the design, printing, and QA workflows and to getting the devices into routine clinical use, as part of a larger team at Stanford and across the collaborating institutions.

These devices moved through design, dosimetric validation, and QA into routine clinical use, and are described in publications in Frontiers in Oncology, JACMP, Practical Radiation Oncology, and Physics and Imaging in Radiation Oncology.
